Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Releases a COVID-19 Webpage for Strata Specific Information – April 2020
A new COVID-19 Information for Strata Housing website has been published by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The page has useful strata-specific information for Strata Councils, Building Residents and Strata Managers. Among the topics covered are:
· Payment of strata fees during the crisis
· The current workload faced by strata property managers
· Privacy concerns if reporting an illness to residents
· Using Restricted Proxy Meetings as an alternative to in-person General Meetings
· Using SPA 98(3) as a method to pay non-budgeted insurance premium increases & COVID-19 expenses
